A natural coconut fibre filter medium for air pre-filtration, rated G1–G4 efficiency. Captures dust, overspray, and particulates while offering low pressure drop and no microplastic shedding, replacing synthetic polyester and fibreglass pre-filters.

Advantages of Coir

  • Low pressure drop: Open fibre network maintains airflow while capturing particulates, reducing energy cost on fans and blowers.

  • High dust-holding capacity: Fibre structure designed for higher solids loading before change-out vs standard synthetic pre-filters.

  • Washable in select formats: Roll and pad formats in lower GSM ranges (700–1,200 g/m²) can be rinsed with water and reused 2–3 times before replacement. Confirm washability for your specific format at enquiry.

  • Reduced disposal burden: Spent coir filters are classified as non-hazardous industrial waste, unlike some synthetic filter media. Dispose via standard industrial waste channels or biomass energy recovery where permitted.

  • Does not melt or drip: Unlike synthetic polyester and PP media that melt under heat, coir fibre chars without producing flaming droplets or toxic fumes.

  • Zero microplastic shedding: Unlike polyester and PP media, coir sheds no synthetic particles into the airstream.
